Colombia is a very diverse country. The landscape ranges from sandy Caribbean beaches to jungle covered mountains to fascinating deserts. The cities and towns have modern skyscrapers and colourful colonial homes. It’s a photographers dream. Here are our favourite pictures from our time in Colombia.

I know, but a three and a half week trip to Peru and Bolivia ended up a week and three of those days don’t count either. Columbia sounds like an adventure in its own right. But I love your posts on far-flung places, they remind me of all the mysterious and amazingly varied places still to visit across the planet.

Such beautiful photos! I can easily see that Colombia is one of the gems of South America, yet I’ve never seen many blog posts about it, I guess it’s one of those places that still is often skipped on the tourist trail. I would’n mind visiting one day and laze on palm-fringed stretches of Caribbean shoreline and explore eye-catching towns like Barichara. Thanks for sharing, Maggie & Richard, and safe travels. Aiva

Beautiful pictures! That church in Las Lajas instantly reminded me of Chateau de Chenonceau in France’s Loire Valley.
